Cinematize your video11/12/2022 I wonder why FCP doesnt accept Apple Intermediate Video, its better than mjpeg, and was meant for HD or master encodings.Īuthor Gillean Time 2 9:46 PM Post link Thought I'd better make a second post to make sure all my previous edits weren't missed (I hadn't refreshed and didn't see the following two posts at the time).Įverything is better on a laserdisc. #CINEMATIZE YOUR VIDEO UPDATE#Perhaps an update I haven't seen.Īuthor QtheGaijin Time 2 9:32 PM Post link In the UB DVDSP it gave me the option to open my fcp project and it import the video. Curious what QtheGaijin is on about there. #CINEMATIZE YOUR VIDEO PRO#Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc! Author ocpmovie Time 2 9:25 PM Post link I'm not aware that DVD Studio Pro can open Final Cut Pro documents. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.Įverything is better on a laserdisc. Again, I'm not reading descriptions, but I had seen this program in my previous quest. Still procrastinating! Capty MPEG Edit EX may be what you're after. Not sure if Mpegitor would work on M2V streams, didn't read the whole page because I really should be completing the magazine that is due at the printers today! SimpleMovieX is another GOP-level editor. #CINEMATIZE YOUR VIDEO FOR MAC#That said, I was looking for similar programs to Womble for Mac and thought I found a couple, can't remember what they were though! I guess I decided to just jump through all thoughs hoops I just mentioned and not pay for a new program. If you wanted to cut exactly (or add transitions) only using the software you already have then you could cut out the GOPs that will be changed, make the changes in FCP, re-render back to MPEG2 and reinsert the new GOPs. DVD Studio Pro can cut between GOPs without recompression. That was what I was going to suggest too, since you already have it. I often "edit" my M2Vs together in DVD Studio Pro - how I did Empire and Jedi classic. the accuracy being within 15 frames as is the M2V standard. MPEG Streamclip is very useful for cutting the part of a clip you want out, though. I don't know of a way to edit M2V natively on Mac. Converting it to PhotoJPEG (in MPEG Streamclip) lets you edit more easily (though you pay for it in hard drive space - I had a tough decision between crashing or having less material to edit with when doing my 10 Doctors project). I don't recommend editing that way, as there's high rendering times and too much M2V video seems to crash the program anyway. Then opened the fcp file in DVDSP.Īuthor ocpmovie Time 2 8:45 PM Post link No, you have to recompress it in FCP, so it's not native. I want to see your re-edit! Whatever it is! Author QtheGaijin Time 2 8:35 PM Post link Yeah, you just throw the M2V in. It does?!?! Don't you have to recompress it when sending it to DVD? Are you able to edit it natively in the timeline? And not all the time is the audip and video synced.
